Entrepreneurs are advised to take risks
10 July, 2009
In recent reports it has been suggested that contractors and freelance consultants as well as other types of entrepreneurs must take risks.
Following a publication of an article in the Birmingham Post earlier this year that intimated that setting up your own business could be a positive move during the recession, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou told the Metro that choosing to work for yourself could be a brave decision and required a tenacious attitude. He said that it was hard work and involved taking risks that didn’t always work out, and he felt that if one was not willing to accept a failure, it meant one was not taking enough risks.
Sir Stelios also said that people should not underestimate the part that luck could play in the success of an enterprise. He also disclosed that he would rather be fortunate than intelligent.
