Criticism of SAAS software as a service
13 May, 2009
The debate as to whether SaaS was growing continued as the former chairman of Sage, Mr. Michael Jackson, caused objections from experts in the IT industry when he said that internet-based accounting software had grown slower than most people expected and probably would need more investment.
Mr. Dennis Keeling, business software analyst, commented that nothing was growing in the software market as the market was contracting and therefore if SaaS was continuing to grow, even if by a small amount, it was a growing market.
When Coda launched their latest SaaS accountancy model, the marketing director Mr. David Turner reported that it was definitely a mistake to underestimate SaaS and how quickly it was growing.
