Car tax recommended by The ICAEW and Environment Agency
27 October, 2009
The ICAEW (The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and Environment Agency have recently launched a guide for companies on how they can report on green issues in their annual financial statements.
In a recent report head of environmental finance at the Environment Agency, Mr. Howard Pearce, stated that both organizations supported the disclosure of greater transparency in public reporting and that they believed that this would include strategic information, risk assessment, analysis of value drivers and key environmental performance indicators. He said that the paper had been written to support this stance and to help companies to address these requirements when producing their financial reports.
