Accountants accused of tax evasion scheme by the HMRC
04 November, 2009
In a recent report by the Uxbridge Gazette senior executives from the Vantis group, Roy Faichney and David Perrin, appeared in Highbury Corner Magistrates Court following the HMRC allegations.
The HMRC has accused the Vantis executuves and their wives of tax evasion, and they have appeared in court in connection with an alleged £219 million tax evasion scheme. The executives have been accused of setting up a sophisticated scheme which involved hundreds of clients which include many top company directors, bankers and barristers.
While they are expected to deny the charges at the next hearing on January 18 at Blackfriars Crown Court, they are facing claims by HMRC of ‘cheating her Majesty and the public revenue’.
